Project Updates May 2007
There has been a while since I wrote about how my projects are going. This is mostly because nothing much has happened with my current projects.
As I told you in a previous post, I am a blogger and I love to write and it would be awesome to do more of that, and I have started some other blogs but none of those are really worth mentioning yet since I have not really got them started, except from my personal blog Andreas Bard’s Adventures. My plan is to make a full time income from my blogs and I do no think that is impossible, my goal is to be able to do that within 4 months from now.
I have also mentioned that I will be trying to sell of most of my other smaller projects, but I have had no luck with that yet, but I have to try a little harder. When I do that I will be able to focus on my blogs and one big project I have started a couple of weeks ago, more about that further down. Some of the sites I am selling includes:
YourSpace Arcade - An arcade community
GYgames - An arcade community
Blandade Klipp - A Swedish video community
Get A Community - Community Building Resource with paid posting service and more.
Except from this I also have a bunch of domains for sale listed on this blog here. If you find anything you are interested in, please contact me on MSN or mail: info@andreasbard.com
The BIG project
So I can not tell you too much about this but I can mention that we are creating a service that will cover most areas for bloggers. Everything from platforms to making money. This is my biggest venture so far and I have partnered up with great people for this one. I am 100% sure it will be a hit.
The rest of it
For my arcade and video communtities the traffic is increasing quite nicely for every month that passes but the income is ver low, just a couple of dollars per week from Adsense and affiliate offers. I am sure they can do better, but I do not have the time to monetize them in a better way.
GetACommunity.com has not performed well at all during April, but so far this month it has generated 2 bigger orders. I have never really advertised this project and I do not intend to, I will let it grow and let happy customers refer new customers and hope it will bring in a couple of extra $100 per month.
I will publish some interesting articles te coming days that I hop you like, but this is all for now.

Andreas,
I’ll give you my thoughts on this. I think you might want to keep some of the sites that don’t require work. For example I don’t think arcades require much work and maybe not the video site. I could understand if Get a Community is a lot of work, but I don’t know. I think a lot of these have value in traffic even if they don’t monetize well.
Anyway, my point is that I think if a site doesn’t require much maintainance, but brings traffic into your network, you should keep it. I think traffic is by far the biggest problem for any webmaster. Whenever you bring a new site online, it’s always good if you have another site that can send some traffic.
I have many sites in many niches that do not require any real maintainance from me. The great thing is that when I bring a new site online, I usually have an older site that is somewhat related. This way I can give a link to my new site and send some traffic. The more sites you have the better it works, but they are static or user generated content sites (so no work for me). The only reason I don’t have a blog is I think it’s too much work. Although I will say that I think there are more oppotunities to make money with a blog than a general website lately.
I think it takes a lot of work to bring a site up from scratch and start ranking for keywords in the SEs. I don’t think the markets on Digitalpoint and Sitepoint appreciate this and so many sites go for cheap that took a lot of work to get rolling.
Just my opinion;)
Great opinions as always Marc. Your thoughts are appreciated and I do agree with you but the reason I want to get rid of them is that I need to focus 100% on a few projects rather than 20 different.
They are quite self going, but the problem with me is that I have so big plans for every project, instead of just letting them be and grow organic.

Good luck with your other sites Andreas. Unfortunately I’m not really into their themes much.
BTW I like the edits that you’ve made to this blog. It looks much more organised.
Daniel, I know most of them is not very good looking and they have standard themes.
I have looked for this bligs new theme for lon time now and finally found this one and fell in love. Sp clean and so much room to add new stuff.

^sorry my bad I couldn’t think of the right word. I meant the subject matter of the blog. That I’m not really into Sweedish videos etc.
The themes are fine.
ha ha . . .maybe it was just me that misunderstood.
