Making Money Blogging - Month of May
So in my making money blogging post from April I posted that I earned $175 from this blog during that month, and predcited that I would at least double that this month. So have I?
PayPerPost.com - $65 (drop of $35 compared to last month)
LoudLaunch.com - $25 (new)
Private Reviews - $60 (+$40 compared to last month)
Google Adsense - $4
This adds up to a total of $159 which means I lowered the income of this blog by $16, I am not really dissapointed because I know that if I put some more work to it I will get better results and the only reason for the low results is that I have focused on other things than this blog this month.
A fun thing is that private review sales has gone up, and this is an area that will be increasing since I will work harder to sell more here. I already have some returning customers for this one and a new one that is ready to buy up to 5 reviews, so this is really promising.
I am kind of dissapointed with the blogvertise networks (payperpost, sponsoredreviews and loudlaunch) they have very few reviews available that fits my blogs topics and when they do they pay like $5 for that review, and I will not sell out my blog for a silly amount like that. I guess private sales is the future for this blog.
Making Money Blogging
Almost a month ago now I started to monetizer this blog in different ways to make money and even though I have not made any big changes or improvements, I have started my journey to be making money from blogging.
My biggest source of income is from writing reviews for companies on the blog, and the biggest dissapointment is Google Adsense. Below is a list of stats for the past month:
PayPerPost.com - $100
SponsoredReviews.com - $20
Private Reviews - $20
Google Adsense - $5
Private Link Sales - $30
This adds up to a total of $175 for the first mont, and I am quite happy with that result and I am 99% sure I will beat this double up this month.
Look through your visitors eyes

You have your website set up and ready to launch. All good right? But now wait a second!! Who has seen and tested the site except from you?
If the answer to the above question is no one, you should really wait with the launch and go through this list and see if your site really is ready to launch.
- When building or optimizing your website yourself you probably miss out on a lot of small errors or things that is not appealing to your visitors. Ask a friend or colleague to test your site and give you an honest opinion on the look and functionality.
- Who is your site built for? You or your visitors? I bet it is the second choice. Then imagine you are the visitor of your own site. You know what you want from a website yourself, so does your website meet your own demands? Will your first time visitors be coming back?
- Be careful with the monetization of your site. You probably hate a site full with ads yourself, so avoid pop-ups and such disturbing things. But do not get me wrong, if you are going to monetize your site, then do really monetize it.
So where do I want to get with this? Do not rush the launch of your site. The first impression is the most important and most visitors will not give you a second chance and that means a loss of potential customers. You can probably agree that this is something very unnecessary and something that can be prevented quite easy.
