Time for some marketing

This summer I have learned a lot of new things about doing business online and I really learn something new every day.
As you might now I have been in the game for almost 7 years now, but have never really been learning new stuff frequently. I have just been doing what I was good at and just “educated” myself from time to time to renew a bit.

What I have been doing lately is beeing quite active in many big webmaster and entrepreneur forums, and that has really paid of in many ways.
I would absolutely recommend you to do this too, you will not regret it.

Time for some marketing
If you are a returning reades of this blog you might have noticed that I have started quite a lot if sites lately. What I decided to do was to get some of my old ideas going, instead of just have them waiting in line to be launched. My ideas was to just let them be online, and grow without any real marketing and when I had the time and money start putting some dollars on marketing them.

Well, now it is time to do that, and I will mainly focus on viral like marketing solutions like contests and word of mouth marketing. Hopefully that will be a success.

2 new sites
So today I have new sites to announce, both are business I have worked with before.
One forum at www.gourmetdialog.com and one word-cloud site at www.100sentences.com

Gourmet Dialog is a forum for food and wine lovers.

100 Sentences is a word-cloud site with a twist, here you can buy a whole sentence instead of just a word.

New look and other happy news

New look
So, I have decided to change the theme of this blog. I do not know why I did not do it before since I actually was never really satisfied with the previous one.
Anyway, still some work to do on this one to make it more personal.

What is your opinion? Is this one better?

The word-cloud sites
Andreas, what is up with all the word-cloud sites you might think.
Actually, I just ran in to these kind of sites a couple of days ago for the first time.
I liked the concept of those general sites like 500words.com and thought that I could do something in a niche with them, and I did.

What I was very happy to see was that the 2 sites I launched yesterday, 500 Bloggers and 50 Affiliates already have gotten a great start and have generated about $100 in sales in the first 24 hours. The best thing with that is that it is almost the double amount of my initial investment.

So what happens now? Of course I can not stand still and watch this idea pass by, I will continue developing word sites in different niches until I am satisfied. Here are the latest additions:

www.50forums.com
www.100writers.com

I will use all the money now in the beginning to put on PageRank building and advertising for quality traffic, to really make this a good deal for my advertisers.

I have also put up a blog for this network of word sites at Just Another Word Site

2 new sites and more

New sites
This week I have had a lot of work to finish, but I have managed to work with some new smaller projects anyway. These are the sites that were launched today:

www.50affiliates.com

www.500bloggers.com

Both sites got a great start, and I managed to sell some words/links instantly.
I will do some more work on these sites, and I have ordered logos for both that should arrive by Friday.
So, do not sit and wait. Get your word/link now!!

Up-coming project
In a previous post I told you about a new site with the topic motivation, I have worked some on it and are currently looking for a good mailinglist software. So if anyone have some software to recommend, please send me an e.mail or comment here.

The domain for this project will be: www.inboxmotivation.com (this name because you get the motivational articles directly in your mail inbox)
This site should be online any day now.

Dns problems
The last 2 days I have had problems with dns for new domains I bought, it is now solved but it has slowed me down a little on getting new stuff going.
I do not know what was wrong but both my server host and the domain registrar looked in to it.

Well, now I am on my way again.

I am in to: Motivation for entrepreneurs

I have not thought about it much in the past, but I am really interested in writing and talking about motivation for entrepreneurs.

Because of this I have now decided to dedicate some time and money to a project, on the topic “Motivation” with the target group Entrepreneurs.

This will be both a newsletter, a meeting place, and  a place where I share my thoughts.

I have found a good domain for it, and the site should be online in a couple of days.

I am now one of the writers on BloggerSkills.com

The other day I got contacted by Rex Bowden, an he asked me if I was willing to become on of the writers on his new site www.bloggerskills.com, and of course I said yes.

BloggerSkills.com is an article blog where Entrepreneurs and webmasters post news, articles and thoughts, to share with others.

I have published my first article there now, and you can read it at:

Motivation for Entrepreneurs

New Business Credit Cards

All business owners have their own share of highs and lows in their lives. They beam with pride or happiness one day when target sales are achieved or exceeded, and shake their head in disbelief over some failed business project the next day.  Running a business is a roller-coaster ride that gets you on your toes all the time.  And the way you deal with the challenges that come your way can either make or break your business, if not today but in the long run.Everyone, most entrepreneurs in particular, would love to make their first millions at the soonest time possible.  This is not as easy as it sounds, but people look up to it as something they aspire but never always realize.  Money may not always be the prime motivation for people who go into business, but long-term financial assurance is one of the factors that encourage people to do so.

So when we speak of motivation, one should not limit with the financial aspect of business. There are other factors that must be considered to help you achieve both short-term and long-term goals for your business to turn your business success both into financial and personal wealth. Here are some of the ways.

Strategize.  Everybody needs a plan, more so when you run a business.  It is always good to have some kind of a guide to look back to when the sailing gets rough.  You can draw up a one-year or five-year business plan where you will be setting you goals, how to get to those goals, and the resources you need to achieve them.  Make your business plan work for you by continuous planning, adaptation of your business strategy to the present market, and your present and future needs.

Promote your business.  Motivation is more effective when there is affirmation.  It is true that small to medium businesses do not give so much time, attention, and budget for promotion.  Do not just rely on your loyal customers, get into some PR work or hire the services of a PR if you can afford it.  Be involved in issues concerning the industry your business is in.  Take advantage of the reach of the World Wide Web by promoting your company and/or website and doing email campaigns.  Do not underestimate the benefits of name-recall even if your business has already established a name for itself.

Give credit where credit is due.  People who help you run your business deserve some motivation also. Give incentives to employees with good performance because experience shows that giving incentive schemes for employees’ performance inspires them to do well, if not best in their work.  Think of different ways on how to reward honest hard work.  Incentive programs for employees serve two purposes: To motivate your employees to work hard and to recognize their invaluable contribution to the company.

Lastly, do not forget that getting into business entails a lot of risks and rewards.  Running your own business is a series of hit-or-miss.  But one thing is for sure – anything and everything is possible and achievable if you nurture the things that motivated you to put up the business.  Let everything and everyone involved in this business be an inspiration for you to perform, if not surpass what you expect to achieve.

Free Prescription Drug Card Now Available to All Americans

A fellow entrepreneur by the name of Rex Bowden, has launched a new very interesting service, and I have decided to share some news about it here on my blog as I feel alot of my visitors might be interested in it in some way or another.
—————-
Last month, a new free prescription drug card became available to all Americans. The free prescription drug card is available by filling out a short online form at http://www.yourrxcard.com, and the card can be printed instantly. Besides the instant activation, the free prescription drug card has no deductibles, waiting periods, or pre-existing exclusions. The prescription drug card was released by YourRxCard.com in response to American’s rising prescription drug costs, and the downfalls of the new Medicare Part D plans.

It’s estimated that prescription drug spending will likely increase at a greater rate than patients’ earnings, at a rate of 8.2% each year until 2015, according to a report issued in February by the National Health Statistics Group at CMS (Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services). Medicare Part D was launched in January, and made available to current Medicare recipients in varying plans, but those plans have several downfalls. For example, not every American is eligible to take advantage of Medicare Part D, unlike with the new free prescription drug card at www.YourRxCard.com. Other problems with Medicare Part D include the fact that multiple plans are participating (therefore causing plans to be somewhat profit-based), a monthly premium is required to stay in the program, some of the plans require a $250 deductible, and there is a gap in coverage after a certain level where patients pay all costs on their own until the plan kicks in again.

YourRxCard.com aims to provide a solution to all Americans upset by the rising prescription drug costs; not just those eligible for Medicare. The free prescription drug card is instant, available to everyone, and has no deductibles or waiting periods. Because the card can be used with other prescription drug cards, it allows patients to maximize their savings.

About www.YourRxCard.com

YourRxCard.com is a free prescription drug card program being produced to help all Americans cut their prescription drug costs. Individuals can download and print their free prescription drug card from www.YourRxCard.com, and receive savings of up to 75% at more than 50,000 national, regional, and local pharmacies. There are no deductibles, no waiting periods, and no pre-existing exclusions with the use of the card.

For more information please visit http://www.yourrxcard.com, or contact Rex Bowden at 866-561-1926 or via email at email protected from spam bots.

Vacation and business planning

This week I have been on a short vacation visiting my fiances mother.
We have just been enjoying life, and been taking it really easy all week long.

But I have also had some time to do some business planning.
I have developed/planned 2 different franchise concepts, 1 online and 1 offline.
This will be very interesting stuff, and I will be presenting more about it soon.

On saturday I am going on another short vacation trip to my house in the north of Sweden, there I am not going to do any work, just relax, enjoy the sun, fishing and have a lot of bbqs.

I will be back next thursday, with my batteries re-charged, and more creative than ever.

Tip of the day 07: Make mistakes

I am not telling you to just gp out and make mistakes, what I mean is that you should dare to make mistakes and fail, because it is from mistakes we learn.

You go to bet some, to win some. And if you do not succed, you will learn something from the failure.
