Tip of the day 05: Do not let idiots ruin your day
Today I got this as a comment to one of my posts:
“i CAN TELL yor gay ass doesnt make money!”
At first I got angry and thought of how I could respond to this very immature and anonymous person, but then I realized what does his stupidity matter to me really.

Tip of the day 04: Make your name your trademark.
Making your own name a trademark is an excellent marketing move, in my opionion.
When doing business online, trust is very important, and by using your name in marketing and representing makes things so much more personal.
Using myself as an example, I have always had AndreasBard.com as my main business web site and I always use my name when writing in forums and such. I personally think it has brought me, a great amount of new customers and business contacts.

Tip of the day 03: Write in forums
Todays tip is about being an active forum poster.
If you have knowledge and skills on a certain topic I would recommend you to join discussion forums relating to your industri. By being an active forum poster and helping other members you will definately profit from it, either from new customers or from new contacts. Both are very valuable for your business.

Tip of the day 02: Take a break
When you feel that your projects stand still and you are fed up with your d*mn computer. Take a break!
After a few days (or maybe just hours) of doing something else, you can start working again with your batteries re-charged and your creativity rolling again.
It works for me, and it surely will for you. Take a break!

Tip of the day 01: Put up a Dream Board
After my dream/goal post it could be good with a dream tip.
I have always had pictures of my dreams put up in my office, its nice to have a look at that nice Hummer I am going to buy soon. Recently I have also started to put my dream pics on my refrigerator , its a perfect place for it because that is a place you walk by and look at many times every day.
Tip of the day: Make your refrigerator a Dream Board.
The importance of dreams and goals
One of the most important things to have as an entrepreneur is dreams and goals in both business and life.Without dreams/goals you will most definately not succeed with your business.
It can be as simple as that you are going to earn 10 dollars a month from your website before September or that you are going to buy a new Ferrai when you get rich. Both these are example of goals that makes you strive forward, and probably will struggle to achieve. Without dream and goals you stand still!
As an entrpreneur you probably have some kind of “business-depression” from time to time, when nothing is going as planned and your dreams are far from being made true.
What I would suggest you to do in those cases is to take a few days off work, and turn of your computer. Then just go and relax, and visit a car dealer that sells your dream car or go in to a travel agency and look in thir catalogues and watch pictures of your dream vacation destination, try to get the real feeling of your dreams and you will definately feel much better.
After a few days, go back to work with your newly charged batteries and keep working hard for your dreams.

A helping hand - Give and take
When you are an entrepreneur, it is very important to have a good network of contacts in different areas and industries.
Even if you are working for yourself we all sometimes need a helping hand, someone that can support us with things we can not handle ourselves.
You might have the idea but not the skills or finance to realize it, or have excellent skills in programming but not the best ideas or the biggest wallet.
Then you need to partner up with someone that completes the missing part, or maybe outsource it to competent people.
As an entrepreneur it is much about giving and taking, one person might have great skills in marketing and another in webdesign, either these guys can exchange their services, give some and take some, or they can partner up and create a project together.
This is something I know is very important, and I have discovered during my 7 years as a web entrepreneur that networking gives you major advantages in many ways when doing business online. I have a lot of fellow entrepreneurs that I host for free on my servers, because they give me something valuable in return.
So do more networking, it is one important key to success.
Blog Statistics - What an improvment!
This month I started to “advertise” my blog in some forums in my signature (that is shown with every post), I make about 100 posts a day in different forums so my link is shown quite much. I have never before even bothered to look at the statistics of this blog, but now it got more interesting and I was amazed of the first restults.
The first week the unique visitors went from an average of 2 a day to 20 a day, now it suddenly got very interesting to analyze the stats, and see where the traffic came from.
What is even more amazing is that the past week I have been doing some link exchanges with other entrepreneurs and that has made my unique visitors grow to a steady average of 70 uniques per day. This feels really great and if it carries on in this speed, this can soon be something very valuable and profitable for me.

Vital key to success: Never give up!
As an entrepreneur you encounter a lot of obstacles along the way to success.
It can be people not beliving in you, projects failing or other reasons that makes you feel down or negative. I think most people running their own business get these feelings from time to time, and it might be something that stop a lot of people from succeding. This post is to make you understand that thing like this should not be a reason to give up. Never give up!
You can not let other people put you down and kill your dreams and goals you have in business and life. It is also important to see what lies ahead in the future for you, a failing project does not mean that you will not succeed in the future. Keep going and look forward. Never give up!
So what do I want to say with this? NEVER give up!
The quest for a name
I usually do not have any problems in making up names for my sites, it often takes sometime but eventually I get it and just go register the domain.
But now for the first time my name-creativity is gone.
What I am looking for is a name for mine and Niklas K’s forum network, and I have been trying to come up with a good name now for almost 2 weeks, but nothing is good enough so far.
Well, I will keep trying and hopefully soon something will pop-up.
